It was so inspiring to collaborate with Molly of Sisters in Circles on the new website design for her organization. SIS provides resources and education to women in need in Uganda and around the world, while empowerment them to use their skills.

The new website drives traffic to SIS’s shop through inviting design
Sisters in Circles’ main website functionality is their online shop, where visitors can purchase items made by women around the world who are paid a living wage.
Molly wanted the website and the e-commerce experience to feel like coming home to a friend. Throughout the site, we used warm, inviting colors that blend softness with empowerment. I created patterns, icons, and floral imagery based on African wax print fabric, which is used to make many of their products.

“If I had one hundred business ideas that needed design, branding and websites, there is no one I would consider other than Alyssa Phillips to hire for those services and lead me through that process.
We had a basic, functional, website to sell products, but as our programs grew, we needed a new, well designed site. [In] our initial meeting, [Alyssa] asked specific questions about our programs, our impact, our values and mission, and again, the process was invaluable. About a year after our site launched, I needed an additional page and some design tweaks to add our newest program. Same as before: quick to respond, open to suggestions, confident in her ability to implement what I needed, and again she went above and beyond. Still, whenever I have a question or need something added, she is quick to respond and always follows through with work that excels excellence. And even after our projects have ended, she follows up, curious to hear how things are going. Alyssa has become my well-respected friend.
Little did I know when I signed my contract with Alyssa that she was this incredible. It’s a beautiful thing to see someone in their element, doing what they do best, excelling to the highest degree, eager and enthused to continue to shift and grow. Not only is Alyssa a cutting edge, reliable, encouraging, open-minded, flexible, committed-to-excellence designer and business owner, she is also a wonderful person with tremendous amounts of generosity, integrity, and kindness.
