CLIENT STORY | CITIZEN BLOOM BOTANICS
Brand identity and packaging for CBD skincare
Undergoing a name change and entering a phase of growth, Citizen Bloom Botanics needed a re-brand to better fit the personality of the company. I worked with owner Nicolette on a logo that would complement fun and colorful products, and translated the brand identity to packaging, print pieces, and more.

Sketches
We reworked the positive qualities of CBB’s old skincare product logo to align better with their new brand.
The result: a logo and brand identity that is elegant and modern while fun and bold
The re-design is creative & playful and strong & professional. “Botanics” curves around in a circular shape, inspired by old apothecary bottle labels. The circle also represents oneness, in that we are all one with each other and with plants. The boldness of the logo stands out, while its simplicity complements the rich, colorful brand. Throughout the extended identity, leaves represent natural ingredients.
Following the Branding, I worked with Citizen Bloom Botanics on the packaging and label designs for her skincare products.
Creating the packaging, Nicolette wanted to think outside the box of standard CBD labels and ensure her products felt personalized and approachable. She wanted customers to feel connected to the human behind her business and invited into the story of her brand. Citizen Bloom Botanics also wanted to dispel the stigma around hemp products and create something that people felt comfortable using in public.
In the label designs, we didn’t depict hemp leaves, and instead focused on the natural ingredients used in CBB’s products, as well as transparency and education about the products.
