Website that blends modern with nostalgia for a Fractional Marketing Agency

CLIENT STORY: One for the Books

After working with One for the Books, a fractional CMO, on their branding, we collaborated on a new Squarespace website design to help communicate the high level of expertise they bring to their client work. With an 18-year background in strategic marketing, owner Catherine wanted their website to instill confidence in their services.

The website design blends fresh and modern with the nostalgia of books and stories

At the heart of OFTB’s work is uncovering and communicating their clients’ stories. We alluded to books, file folders, and archives through the website design: folder tabs for the the top navigation, sections that scroll as if we’re flipping through pages, and subtle animations that bring joy.

In addition, the website is clean, clear, and easy to find information on. It consistently incorporates elements of the new visual brand we collaborated on, and exudes professionalism and confidence.

OFTB’s new site also includes a portfolio of marketing client case studies, which are set up as templates so Catherine and their team can easily add new work whenever needed.

[Before working with you,] I needed to grow my business from a solo consultancy to a marketing agency, but my current brand didn’t reflect where I wanted to take the company. I was so impressed by your thoughtfulness and deep diving to find story-worthy details to make the brand not only beautiful but meaningful. The same thing happened with the website.

I feel really proud of the brand and the website. A fully custom brand allows us to stand out and attract clients and talent to grow my team. The process was so proactively communicated and handled smoothly, even when we were deterred by a hurricane. [What stood out about you was] the level of communication and resources! I didn’t have to think about it — it felt like every question I could possible have was anticipated. The thoughtful touches like including versions in our brand decks to reflect our changes, to launch graphics, to freelancer referrals...WOW.
