Owner Erin of Asheville Functional Medicine reached out for a rebrand while undergoing a name change and a shift in business goals. Dr. Erin wanted to stand apart from other holistic health providers, and communicate her experience and balanced approach to functional medicine with a science-based background.

AFM was drawn to abstract shapes and symbols that communicated the feelings of support and wellbeing, and breaking away from stereotypical images associated with holistic health.

The result: a balanced, approachable, fun logo and identity.
In the design, the solid semi-circle represents support and trust, while the bottom one represents hope and togetherness. Together they symbolize a balanced treatment approach, as well as the balance found in better health. The triangles represent equilibrium and movement towards better wellbeing.
